We are happy to announce that Michael Karnjanaprakorn has joined the Internet of Services team as our newest advisor. He will be helping the team grow with his powerful network in the startup and blockchain space, as well as advising our outreach programs to get businesses involved with the Internet of Services.
Mr. Karnjanaprakorn co-founded Skillshare, Inc. In 2010 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Skillshare is an online learning community where over 3.5 Million members can explore thousands of classes, network with peers and potential employers, and showcase their talents to the world. He is also the founder of Turing Capital, which invests and incubates in blockchain companies and serves as an advisor for Blockfolio, Set Protocol, Carbon, and Urbit.
Before founding Skillshare and Turing Capital, Mr. Karnjanaprakorn led the product team at Hot Potato (which was acquired by Facebook) and developed products and services that organized the creative world at Behance (which was acquired by Adobe). He is a TED Fellow, one of Inc Magazine’s “35 Under 35” and is listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business.”
As a philanthropist, he co-founded All Day Buffet and The Feast Conference, which was listed as one of “25 Ways to get Smarter in 2010” by The Daily Beast.
Mr. Karnjanaprakorn earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a M.S. in Advertising from VCU Brandcenter.
